If you arrived expecting to hear the banjo music from the movie Deliverance right about now, don’t worry. We could play it, but we won’t. That is part of the unique challenge of Bluegrass; the music is often obscured by the very myths that surround it. Stereotypes often get in the way of what this community is and what the music is actually about. 

You will find overalls worn for honest work, and you will find tailored suits and 100X hats. You will hear murder ballads that sound deceptively cheerful, and Gospel hymns that cut straight to the core.

What ties it all together is community. Here, generations pick, sing, and dance together. It’s a way of life where differences fade, replaced by a common bond in music.
